rant #1:
What is up with people these days?
I take the bus to and from work.
The bus I take to go home arrived a few minutes later than usual.
I soon realized why.
Apparently, some girl didn't know where she was going or something.
The bus driver lingered at not one, but THREE bus stops, to help her out!!!
[Apparently, he didn't really know how to help her either!]
She had a cell phone, the driver should have just told her
to call the customer service number for directions.
Because of this, the bus ended up being 10 minutes behind schedule,
which caused me to miss my connecting bus by only 2 minutes!
[And it would be 28 minutes until another one came!]

While I think it was admirable for the driver to try to help this girl,
who apparently had no clue what she was doing/going,
[I mean, c'mon, who just hops on a bus without knowing where it's going?]
the driver had the rest of the passengers best interests to consider!
[Those who knew where they were going and when they needed to be there!]
GRRRRRR.....

rant #2:
You'd think in this tough economy,
that people would give 100% in their jobs...right???
I mean, there are LOTS of people out there who would
be more than happy to have their jobs!
So, then why am I finding such crappy customer service
when I go shopping these days???

Today it was at Hollywood Video.
Yesterday, my sister told me that she saw they were having a 50% off sale.
There was a movie that I had wanted, but with their previous sale,
you had to buy multiple movies to get a discount.
I found 4 movies that I wanted to get that had 3 different prices.
When I went to purchase the movies, the employee mentioned that they
were all different prices.... I said, 'It doesn't matter, they're 50% off.'
She said, 'No, that's only for power play.' I told her, 'No it's not.'
Then added, 'Yes there are signs for that, but there were also signs
that made no mention of needing power play to get 50% off.'
She had to come and look at the signs, because apparently,
my word was not good enough.
"Huh? When did that start?" she said, after reading the sign.
I told her since at least yesterday, because that's when I heard about it,
and that I came specifically so I could get movies at different prices,
without having to buy 2-4 movies at that same price to get the sale.
As she was ringing me up, I looked at her badge and saw that she was an assistant manager!
So, I know more about what's going on in Hollywood Video than their management! : p

I could go on with more horrible customer service rants, but I'll stop at one.


rave #1:
I figured I needed to put something positive in my blog.
Today at school when one of 'my' girls arrived, her mom mentioned to me how
they're getting her registered for Kindergarten and when she told her that she'd be
in a new class with new teachers, she started crying and saying that she didn't want
new teachers. She wanted 'Teacher Tammy' and that she would miss me.
Awww.....that totally melted my heart....

rave #2:
Another one of 'my girls' [aka Tater Tots] was singing a song a couple times today
about how she loves me and how I'm so nice and that I'm her friend, etc. It was really cute.
