Catching up...

So, yeah...
I've been slacking a bit in the blogging department these days.....
There has been a number of things I could have [and should have]
written about, but for one reason or another, never did.

At this time last week, I was in L.A. getting ready to head home
after an extended weekend getaway.
[My sister Trisha tagged along, too.]
We spent day 1 in Hollywood doing some shopping and eating.
We stopped for breakfast at a place called Highland Donuts.
It was the first of 3 donut shops that we visited during our trip.
They ended up having the best buttermilk bar of the bunch! YUM!
Did a little shopping and we both got a new shirt.
We went to In-N-Out for lunch....can't go wrong there!

Then we took a bus to Fullerton,
where we did some more shopping and eating.
We went to Sonic for an afternoon snack.
[Mmm...their cherry slushie is SO good!]
From there, we finally headed to our hotel, in Anaheim.
We were there for less than an hour before heading out again.

We went to Shakey's for dinner.
[Mmmm...pizza and mojo potatoes!]
Our final stop before heading back to the hotel was
to Downtown Disney to check out the World of Disney store.
The fireworks show started just as we were heading out of the store.
Man, those fireworks are LOUD!!!!

By the time we got back to our room, it was going on 10:30pm.
We were both pretty exhausted, since we had been up since 6:00am,
and didn't really get much sleep the night before.
It was the first time my sister fell asleep before midnight in who knows how long!

Will write about day 2...my birthday, tomorrow....
