We just got a bit of a surprise!
No, that isn't gravel!
It's hail!
Covering the roof of the carport.
They weren't really ball shaped...
more like half a ball shaped.
The hailstorm lasted about 3 minutes or so.
[My sister took a 2 1/2 minute video of it.]
The hail didn't melt right away either.
What was weird was that slightly to the south east of us,
there was blue skies, during the storm.
Our strange neighbors kept yelling,
"It's snowing! It's snowing!"
I guess here in the Bay Area
hail = snow?
